asking for red dot insight (pardon the pun)

I like iron sights but I am delving into the red dot realm as a novelty for shooting 50 plus yards.....
my concerns: small crisp dot(3moa)
minimum added bulk
clean low assembly
quality unit!
ability to remove and use iron sights
ok that said, my KMK678GC came with its mount and rings (low, perhaps heavy, but nice looking. Granted they are only 1" but I seem to be leaning towards the 1" Millet SP1 with a 3 min dot.It is compact and boasts crystal clarity and contrast $110. I know the Ultra Dots are nice but they appear bulky and 4 min moa is thier smallest...Leopold has a 2 min moa but its half again the $ and black only....

Anyone used the Millets?? are the rings that come with it heavy like the Ruger set?
I am assuming that the low compact mount that came with the Ruger rings has enough length to accomodate a red dot.
I guess I'm asking if you know of lighter combo that sits as low as what I have in front of me?(the Ruger rings are first rate but heavy)

Am I making a mistake with going with the 1" tube..I do not compete with the .22 so fast target aquisition is not a large concern..

What do you think of this approach..and have I missed an option or two??

I post this here because I have seen the wisdom and vast experience that plays here..for that ..Know that you have helped many many folks, and I. as one, thank you and appreciate your time... I will contribute what I can.... IE: MPro7 gun cleaner(oderless and superior to anything ever)...and your favorite wrap around grip covered with AGRIP. Brookstactical.com (I wrapped a Hogue with it..the unit can come on and off at will..) It is like a second skin that will improve your shooting even wet...The blue one I used looks great with the stainless MKII.... Yikes this post has gotten long...C YA
