Internet shopping

by Steve in Canada

I just spent the last three weeks trying to decide which grips I wanted on my Mk II, Volquartsen or Hogue, so I researched the topic to death, in my usual fashion. Then I agonized over which of two potential suppliers to get the Volq. grips from. (yes, I finally made a decision!)They both had legitimate street addresses, both had impressive looking websites, and ironically, were in the same neighbourhood of the same city! So, I phoned each of them and based my ordering decision on who "felt" better to me and seemed to treat me better. BUT, I didn't supply my precious credit card number. I sent them a certified cheque and if all goes well, I'll purchase from them using my credit card in the future. Bottom line, you are correct, sir,"Buyer Beware!" But if you do your homework, and limit your risks, buying on the internet or at least researching can be fun. I hope you get your stuff soon, BTW.

p.s. I've bought plenty of stuff online in the past few years, and I've never been burned. I always do my homework though.
