Ruger Single-six question

by

An out-of-state friend was buying a gun as a shooter, but I am not sure exactlty what it is or what it is generally worth. Supposedly, it is a Ruger Single-six NIB in fancy presentation wood box. It is labeled a Ruger Colorado Centennial. Blued with several stainless.silver-looking parts, lots of engraving, filled-in in white. The engraving is on the barrel & both cylinders. Some of it has a mtn goat, a prospector with a pick, etc. 1876-1976
Please let us know any info that you might have, especially a ball-park on price & whether he should use it as a plinker on his farm. Thank you.
