I have a 22/45 6 7/8GS in bluethat is a Davidson's exclusive and like it a lot. Have a dot sight on top and it does get heavy compared to my 5.5 s/s bull 22/45 with iron sights. I don't know if the additional distance from 6 7/8 to 8 will make that much difference in accuracy (sight radius thing going on here), but would be inclined to go with the 6 7/8 over the 8, IMHO.
