BROKEN 4 month old Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor

Howdy all. Been away for sometime but it's good to always see familiar names here. I have a problem regarding the "Exact Edge" I puchased from Bill at "On
Target a mere 4 months ago. I was shooting at my indoor range and all of a sudden I was having stove pipes up the wahzoo. Upon further inspection, I noticed the extractor was broken. Sadly, I had to quite shooting after only being there for several minutes and 3 magazines. OUCH!

Are those things warranteed for any time or are they inherently going to fail with no return. I feel like calling Volquartsen, but wanted to get some input first. Any similar problems? I have my tag and such but man, never expected this thing to fail so early. Thank you and ya'll have a good one!
