I have owned a Buckmark Camper (their cheapest model) for five or six years now and have run at minimum 6000 rounds of virtually every type of .22 LR ammo in it and it might jam once every 800 to 1000 rounds. I have NEVER had a problem with the barrell becoming loose. I also have a Browning Medalist International which is highly unreliable with high velocity ammo. It is very accurate but the Buckmark will shoot with it. The Buckmark also has a cast frame vs the stamped frame on the Ruger or (gulp plastic). I wouldn't own the S & W as I have seen the frames crack (rendering the gun in-operable) on several occasions. I have used several Ruger Mark II's and have seen jamming problems with them.
