Re: barrel cleaning

I didn't realize how scientific it is to clean guns. What you had to say made a lot of since, I have just never thought about it. Over the years I have used just about everything, included the antenna off a 78 Ford F150 (was clearing a bad reload from a 30/30 in the field) anyways, my question is, what solvents, and oils Do you recommend? I currently use what ever is available at the local Wal-Mart. I was planning to by a nylon pistol cleaning kit like a “patch worm” from 20/20 concepts. What would be good chemicals to use?

Thanks once again for your great advice
