If your trigger's pre-travel is only 1/16th of an inch then that's real good. Usually a trigger without a pre-travel adjustment screw has a pre-travel take-up between 1/4 to 3/8ths of an inch. Some pre-travel is necessary to allow for the Ruger's disconnector to reset during sustained fire operations (hold the trigger all the way back while dry firing, manually cycle the bolt while still holding it, then slowly release the trigger forward until you hear the "click" that's the disconnector re-engaging the sear). Even with a pre-travel screw installed and adjusted properly, 1/16th would be ideal.
