Quality control on the Optima 2000 sights suck...nothing but problems. But, when it's working, there's nothing like it. I shoot 5 days a week, about 250 rounds each time and one of the Optima's hasn't missed a beat. Been using it for a good 7 or 8 months, the other one is my backup, and it's been rebuilt twice now. I've tried the bigger tube reddots, but I find the smaller type like the Optima easier to use and a lot less weight. I would really look at one of the Doctors sights first, Jack Weigand makes a great mount for the Ruger.
