Which MKII for 1st bullseye gun

I am about to get my first pistol. I want to minimize the $ but still get something I can use in bullseye.

First choice is the MK512, 5.5" bull barrel with a Volquartsen accurizing kit and an Ultradot.

* Is this a mistake? Should I be buying the MK678G with its 6 7/8" bull barrel? My wife & I don't like the extra weight.

* is the shorter barrel less accurate. If so, how much?

* Should I be considering another model?
