The guy is a parrot - a good player, but a parrot. Maybe it's just me but I've never really seen the point of learning people's solos note for note. Maybe small parts to steal a lick or something but the best that guy can hope for is that people will say "Hey, he sounds a lot like Reb Beach".
I would like to see more of these type of Youtube videos where guitar players play their own solos over recognised songs. To hear alternative interpretations would be far more interesting to me. I've thought of doing it myself.

It's lke the guys who buy all the same gear of thier guitar hero's and play thier songs on youtube and try to be EXACTLY like them...Why? Write a song!!!! Develop your own style!! You can take all your influences and make something your own! I hate videos like this. |
