I really like the band!! You are living my dream! I grew up with Van Halen and used to know most of the songs up to 5150. We currently play Eruption/You Really got me. We are picking up Mean Street, and Hear About it Later.
MAN, I wish I knew you lived in Concord, NH, about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to buy a Jackson 4x12 cab from a guy, but he wouldn't ship it. I needed someone to pick it up (if I bought it) and then use my Fed-Ex account to ship it to me. I could've gotten it pretty cheap. I have a Jackson Head and Slant 4x12, and this was the matching bottom cab. Then, he ended up selling to someone, and SHIPPING it. Didn't even email me to tell me he changed his auction terms. Oh well.
What gear are you using for the VH tones?

the gear I use for the BalancE gigs is,
5150 II head
ampeg celestion 4x12 cab
2 arch top usa standard peavey wolfgangs, one trans red, one trans amber.
1 homemade frankenstrattcrap guitar, kramer pacer body, custom woods banana headstock neck, floyd, emg 85.
the pedal board is equiped with
Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah(ironic I use that in a VH tribute lol)
mxr phase 90 pedal
mxr EVH flanger
digitech rp300 for delays chorus and boosts run through the loop of the 5150 head.
Thats pretty much it, I plan on making a 5150 guitar like the one EVH used through out the 1984, 5150,OU812, 2004(had a new strat headstock neck on it) tours.
