Ya know, I'm not real familiar with Ironman. I might have to read up on him. I like Speed Racer, but the movie looks like it might be a bit too campy....but I guess the character IS a bit campy to start lol. I'm just waitig for Hollywood to bastardize some of my other favorites,...Vampirella,Barnabas Collins and The Green Hornet. I hope they don't. Hollywood always ****s up the good stuff by trying to remake it or making it lame. I did like Hellboy though!! And what's the one with Nicholas Cage where he gets pissed off and turns into the guy who's on fire? I liked that one too, pretty funny.

now that I just replied to the Pygar/Mondavi post, I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't tried to remake Barbarella too. I'd ****ing flip out. That would sooooooooooo NOT be good. Unless they kept EXACTLY to the story and only modernized the scenes with updated effects.....and let me cast the movie. Hollywood tends to miscast WAY too much!

What oh what were Jen & Brad thinking when they remade Willie Wonka??
I know the original wasn't exactly true to the book but it was so brilliantly done the only thing a remake COULD do was tank.
rumor had it that a Barbarella remake was in the works (Martian Manhunter is looking it up)
We did see Iron Man tonight--that was way cool. Of course, MM is a comic book geek and he found all the minute references to other stories. Of course we stayed until the end.
Me, I want to see a Dr. Strange movie. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

Sandy, don't even get me started on Willy Wonka. I do think Charlie and the Chocolate factory stayed truer to the book and it was beautifully filmed, but...miiiissscaaaaast! I'm not a big Johnny Depp fan, but I will say I really love most of the movies he's in. BUT he was SO HORRIBLY miscast as Willy Wonka. He was terrible. It's like he almost...over acted. He was just miscast. I think Gene Wilder could STILL do Willy Wonka! To me, HE is the only one who could play that part now. He was "just enough" everything, where as Johnny Depp was just too much everything lol. Anyway, I hated all the kids too, except Charlie. I loove that little boy. He's an awesome little actor. I fell in love with him in "Finding Neverland".
I'm going to go shudder at the thought of a Barbarella remake now.
