I am an XM subscriber. I just turned on XM today to channel 41 and they had Hair nation not the Boneyard. Does anyone know if the Boneyard will come back to XM radio? I know that XM/Sirus have made some changes of late.
Could anyone tell me if they play bands such as: Rush, Queensryche, Dream Theater, and Kingdom Come on Hair Nation?
I am going to have to get use to these new stations.
I don't have any of that, but from what I've heard about Hair Nation, they might play Kingdom Come and MAYBE Queensryche. Dream Theater is kind of a stretch, but I don't think they'd play Rush. I'm guessing it's more like HAIRBAND Nation?

hi Norm
I am a long time subscriber & account rep, for Sirius. Speaking as a subscriber, The Boneyard is due to return in jan 2009, currently it is sharing ch 19 with the AC/DC Channel, there is also Ch 27 Liquid Metal(heavy metal), Hairnation ch 23 which consisted of artists from the 80's- 90's (metal), ch 33 is Led Zep Channel (but this ch might move in Jan 2009).
So going back to your question, yes you will hear your fav artist on Hairnation 23.
Its going to take a bit to get used to, I know from listening most if not all channels have re-programed their music. I do listen to CH 23, 22(1st Wave-early 80's)Cure, Depeche Mode, Bryan Ferry Roxy Music, INXS and so on & ch 8 (all 80's), now thats a flashback with the original VJs from MTV: Nina Blackwood, Martha Quinn,Alan Hunter & Mark Goodman. They (sirius/xm) will be adding additional channels, & all current channels are subject to change, so lets see what happends in Jan 2009. Have fun & welcome to Sirius/XM.
So, Kipper, I have to ask...how many cancellations have you had since SIRI and XM merged? I've been an XM'er for YEARS and I'm not exactly pleased with the changes with the programming since the merger - it's still better than terrestrial radio, and I'm an O&A fan, so I'm keeping it for the time being....but I find myself switching channels a hell of a lot more and not being pleased with the results (too much "pop", not deep enough). For example, channel 49 has just gotten BORING. Too repetitive.
Don't worry - I don't blame you personally - just curious as to what you have observed.
