This one goes to the guitar players.

Im thinking of buying either a Jackson DXMG or DK2M, is there anyone here who plays one of these?

Just looking for opinions before i spend.

Many thanks

If you are able to do yourself the favor, spring for the Soloist SL-3. I do like the DK2M neck, but the heel is bulky. It also has fairly good pickups. I have not played a DXMG to compare it to, however.

Yup - yanno where the neck bolts to the body? On a traditional strat style guitar, there is that big boxy block o wood where the neck bolts go through. I prefer neck thru types or other "heel-less" things like "bolt-in", and some set necks. Neck-thru is best though, as there is absolutely no heel, and that's a reason I was refering Matty to the Jackson SL-3.

I would go with the DK2M of those two, because I like a maple fingerboard and it looks great with the black sharkfins and binding. It also has Seymour Duncan pickups, a 59 and a JB, and they've improved the JT580LP Floyd licensed bridge by using a harder baseplate and blades.

If you're used to a neckthrough or the AANJ type neck joints like the newer Ibanez RGs have, then the Jackson heels can be a little boxy. If you grew up playing Strats, though, the Jackson hell is no problem. They don't bother me, personally.

Matty.
