I would be ****ing OFFENDED if there was a remake. Barnabas is my MAAAAAAAAN. OH, I can't even tell ya the love I have for Barnabas! I've always told myself I was going to see if I could get either The House of Dark Shadows or the Dark Shadows series complete on dvd, but I never do it. Ya know, maybe that'll be a very nice Happy Bday to me! I just bought myself a serger, but wtf. I deserve another gift from myself! =oD

I remember seeing this as a teen. Vampires and the supernatural always freaked me out. After I realized it was a scary soap I would panic if I caught a glimpse of and episode because I would get nightmares!! LMFAO!!

I swear, I hope something goes wrong in production or someone with the money pulls out or something that forces it to be shelved or stopped. Whatever happened to the attempted remakes of Barbarella (another one I'll be ****ING OFFENDED BECAUSE THEY'D PROBABLY CAST SOMEONE LIKE JESSICA ALBA! PFFT!) or the movies they were making about Janis Joplin. One of those was by Penelope Spheris which would have been great because Pink had the leading role, but the other that was being produced by one of the big ol majors had what's her face from Bridget Jones Diary as Janis. Anyway, they were both being filmed at the same time but for whatever reason they BOTH ended up being shelved and neither one ever came ou! THAT'S WHAT I HOPE HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'all know I LOVE me some Johnny Depp but he ain't no Barnabas Collins! He's too "dainty" to be that bad boy....I remember watching that show before I had to take a friggin' nap....you know I wasn't getting any sleep after that!!!! LOL Who would be a good fit for that role? I'm thinking someone a bit more beefy, dark.....I can't come up with anyone!
I'm with Jane on this one. There are no BEEFY MANLY actors now. All thse who are considered manly are like pumped up, icks like oh...what's his name? Eveyone thinks he's so hot but I just don't get it. Um.....Van something. VIN DISEL!!!!! He creeps me out. Besides most of these guys are too young anyway. Has to be an OLDER MANLY MAN. Maybe Donald Sutherland. He's maybe a bit too old, but he's better than squirrely Johnny Depp. Sheesh, I hope Julene doesn't read this or my ass is grass.

I watched this TV serie here in Spain when was broadcasted about 10-15 years ago.
For Barnabas role I think I´m agree with you. Must be played by a more masculine and old actor than Johnny Depp. Maybe somebody like Liam Neeson or similar. I can imagine Liam making a good job bit I can not think in other at the moment.
