| Not sure if anyone has posted about this album on here; I looked around and didn't see anything mentioned about it, so here I am.
Anyway, I finally got around to picking up Kip's latest solo album, this week. Wow! It's a perfect natural progression from TCSLAD to SFTOF to this new one. It fits in perfectly, but really pushes the envelope sonically, musically, vocally, etc.
My favorites are "Pages and Pages" and "Ghosts." The latter sounds like it should be in the movie "The Others," in my opinion. Kip is such a talent. Can't wait to hear more from him and Reb, whether it's Winger or The Mob or anything... music is my drug of choice, hehe.
What do you guys and gals think of the album? |

I love the album...it's Kips best solo album yet IMO. It has the strongest production and songs of the 3 albums so far.
Although, I will say the album's best songs are front-loaded. Some of the tunes on "side 2" are weaker.
All in all...I really enjoy this album. It is extremely catchy and totally chills me out on the way home from work.

Yeah, Alex, I was thinking the same thing about "side one" versus "side two." From "Runaway" to the end, there aren't as many impressive moments as there are earlier; and "What We Are" and "One Big Game" feel a little bit like filler, unfortunately. But be that as it may, I'd still take them over many many other songs and artists out there. ;) I think I'm just spoiled by the first half of the album. |
