Unbelievable. Very strange day. I told my wife about the "3s", and mentioned it this morning before MJ. Ed Mac, Farrah, and MJ. Media icons of all of us in the 80s. Hard to believe. The day POP music died.

I have very mixed feelings about the child molestation allegations. I do however, have always felt that Michael lived most of his life in a state of arrested development. No, that doesn't by any means excuse any choice or action that he may or may not have made, but I understand how he could have gotten to that place in his own mind. He was never allowed to live a life in which he reached normal life milestones in a normal, average way. That's what happens to way too many child stars. They're put into one of those lifestyle where they're exposed to everything differently and they're allowed, enabled or maybe even required to play by an entirely different set of rules. So they grow up with a twisted sense of "normalacy". I believe Michael himself was abused and his eccentricity was not only his coping mechanism, but how he survived.
All I know to say is he was most definately different than most. He had some strange ways, but I have known alot of people that I consider strange that have done alot of stuff but arent child molesters. Our system is flawed and maybe he was but I like to think he wasnt. Take care...Guv
Love him or hate him, no one is indifferent to him for sure. It's hard to lose pop icons like this, mostly because it's like morality being thrown in your face full force.
All I know is no matter how crappy I feel or how bad my day is, if I put in side 2 (aka "disc 2") of my Jackson 5 Box Set...it's all good. At least til the songs end.
