Went into HMV yesterday - I really should not be allowed into record stores, I could blow my months wages in an hour!!! Yes I know everybody is downloading albums these days but I still prefer the actual box with the sleeve notes and the whole thing, I'm an old fashioned gal!
Anyway, I realised that I'd bought the new Stevie Nicks album, updated her classic Belladonna to CD as I only had it on vinyl, an Alternative 80s compilation with Sisters of Mercy, Echo & The Bunnymen etc, and the best of Thunder (Britrock band from the early 90s).
It's all old stuff. Is there anything NEW out there worth listening to? The only 'new' band I've come across in recent years that I really like is Sixx A.M. Can anybody suggest anything else or should I stick to my dinosaur rock?
It's not SUPER new but Your Vegas: "A Town & Two Cities"
Adele: "21" Love her love her love her
I like what I've heard so far of Sebastian Bach's new one.
Duran Duran: "All You Need Is Now"
Okay so Adele, Your Vegas and Duran aren't hard rock but I'm really loving those three albums. There's not a stinker on Adele to be found and her voice is gorgeous. On Duran's there's a song called "Leave A Light On" that I haven't been able to take off daily rotation for months now. Fave on Your Vegas is called "Up Until The Lights Go Out" and faves on Adele are "Turning Tables", "Set Fire To The Rain" and "Rolling In The Deep".
