I can´t remember properly but if I´m not wrong... is there any RBM1 or RBM100.. thye janeses models produced in natural finish.. I mean OL finish with the natural wood like the Corean RBM10??'
I think only natural model apart from RBM400 and RBM2NT was the RBM10 Corean but just to be sure of it. I know that RBM1 was offered in black, blue and red finish, RBM100 only in black finish.
All RBM1 + 2's were made in Japan at the factory. Far as I know everything else was made in China or Korea. Please correct me if im wrong on this. Thanks ...Guv
Yes, all RBM1 (maded in Japan from 1991 to 1993) then in 1994 until 1995 appear the RBM100 in substitution of tyhe RBM1 also maded in Japan.. and in same years 94-95 comes the Korean one RBM10... I have this clear.. but I´m just asking about the natural wooden finish... I´m pretty sure apart from the RBM400 and RBM2NT the only ones in natural finish were the Korean RBM10.. but I just wanna be sure or if anybody has news about the japnese 1 or 100 in this finish.
One is from a poster book Ibanez put out the other is a supplemental to the normal catalogue. I can post a full scan later on if you want to see them. Lol
I blame my obsession for white high tops on you Reb. LOL! The nikes were always more expensive and around here never that cool looking for Nikey hightops. So I was usually wearing Reebok Hightops in your honor. LOL
I actaully wore my hightop sneakers to my prom. I don't think my girlfriend was entirely thrilled but I hated dress shoes back then. HATED them. So it was sneakers or I didn't go.
ha
my rbm is exactly like one of those pictured in the second ad (blue w/ no funky fresh pickguard :'^(
i'm glad you dug that up because i was wondering exactly what pickups it came with.
for the record, reb's shoes were the bomb! and now that i know that he had a nike deal, it just reinforces the notion that all the cool people in the 80s and 90s had nike deals (jordan, agassi, reb!)!
Hey Guv and guys thanks so much for all info and pics... there are great shots that I almost forget about old catalogs that are always cool to see again.
About the sneakers... odd thing indeed.. hahaha... a couple of days ago I was checking on the bay a pair of old L.A. Gear sneakers in black, white and red finish... but it was not my number..it was nice becuase it was the original NOS and are discontinued.. but well.. I heard something about L.A. Gear reissuing some old models.. did you have any notice??
