I need to respond to the clow that continues to put down all the 93's.
Just to put things in perspective I've done research and The top 92 rated player in this coming NHL Draft is Tyler Seguin. He had 3 goals and 12 assists for 15 points in his rookie year after 23 games. He currently has 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points in 18 games. Also to note Seguin did not register his first OHL goal until his 16th game of the season.

John McFarland the first over-all pick last season finished 9th in rookie scoring with 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points he is currently ranked in the top 10 picks of the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft.

I can tell you that everyone in the Soo organization is very happy with Cat's game. Just like Barrie is very happy with Strome, Brampton is very happy with Goodrow, Guelph is very happy with Mitchell and Sandlak...etc. NHL scouts are not only looking at a players stats, if that was the case then Ryan O'reilly another first over-all OHL pick two years ago scored 16 and 19 goals in his two OHL seasons. At age 18 he is now playing in the NHL for Colorado and has 14 points in 18 games with a +13 rating. You see, there are other things scouts look for.

I'm just sick of this person that needs to bash these kids for his own, or his son's short-comings,
plus I have some time here at work it's a little slow this morning. Have a good day!

I agree . The kids that are playig Junior and Midget even should be left alone to play and that is it. We should hope they all do well .

The CAN EAST team is embarassing not for what kids are on the team but that we could lose so badly with so many kids to choose from .

This just proves how watered down our Jr.A in Ontario is with 30 teams. I truly believe some minor-midget teams are better than many of the Jr.A teams. Some kids in this league are producing double the points they had in minor-midget

1:22 am, slow at work? That will really throw us off the scent of who you are. Still pimping your kid, thought you would have been tired of doing that after last year. For goodness sakes let your boy try and do it on his own. I am sure it has been painful watching him so far but give it some time. So now points aren't important; but last year you were obsessed with them. You use the term very happy in your blog, are you kidding, stunned or mortified might be more accurate.

Although the Ontario A League is not at the same level as the BC league certain Ontario teams are doing a wonderful job helping their players get scholarships. There are some very good players being produced by both leagues.

Based on the guy digging deep to find out when Seguin scored his first goal, I would bet it is a parent of a player who took a long time to score their first goal. Would also bet the blogger's son is on one of the teams that were mentioned as being very happy. Seguin's skating is off the charts, has game breaking speed, one of the first rounders mentioned can't skate a lick so a break out year next year seems like a long shot. But you never know, that is why they play the games and good luck to the boy as apparently his father is putting a ridiculous amount of pressure on him.
