I just reread that last bit about my mom's famous "when I'm dead" spiel. It sounds a bit like Norman Bates and Psycho! You may be glad to know she didn't continue that guilt trip when I grew older, but I sure remembered it long beyond childhood. Recalling our parents flaws can almost be as fun as remembering their strong points. (They always seem a lot funnier in hindsight!)
