First time joining this group and posting a message because I'd like some information from the experts out there.
I have a complete set of the 'Topps Pack O' Fun' or 'Topps Fun Pack'. The set contains 42 overrsized cards. There is very little about this collection on the internet that I could find except for a few postes here in this forum. That's why i'm here looking for some info.
I have no wax pack wrapper or checklist (again I don't know if there ever was a checklist). All the cards are in good to great to near mint condition. There is some age yellowing on card #1, mainly for being the 'one at the top' that has been exposed the most. None of the perferated cards are 'used/punched out' (ie. the flying planes or holes to put your fingers through) except for one of the 'You'll Die' Laughing' cards (#13/14), which has been seperated, and the Foldees have been used (but are not overly bent). Other than those all the others are in their complete form.
These have been kept in a large envelope all these years. The corners are in pretty great condition. Again, I'm no card collector expert, but I've heard that collectors are concerned with the sharpness of the corners or if checklists are non-marked. All in all these really are in pretty great condition (being as I've never seen them anywhere else).
I collected these cards back when they came out while I was in grammar school and have had them locked away all these years until a recent move where I had found them, along with my 'Wacky Packs', 'Ugly stickers' & 'You'll Die Laughing' cards.
Just wondering if anyone out there can shed some light on this set, what they are worth, etc. I've been to many conventions and shows and have never seen this cards offered anywhere. One card dealer back at a convention in the 90's told me he saw a set selling for around $500.00. Don't know how true he was but he did claim that they we're extreamly rare.
I was planning on putting these up on eBay but thought I'd ask here first to see if there is another route I can go to sell them off to a collector who would want them.
Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks for reading!
