Very, very happy to snatch Lot #1676, the Wildman's "Navy Ships & Airplanes" set.  So cool, and there's even a story to go with this one.  I'd seen it once before when my card collecting pal in Chicago, Dick Faletti, offered it to me one day when we were haggling over a National Chicle Skybirds set.  Think I was merging sets to create super-set offspring, conditionwise, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I was so focussed on the Skybirds that I just didn't think straight about this other fascinating issue and let it slip away.  Been bugging me ever since.  So now, come on home to Papa, baby!

Do you feel a complete ships/plances set is confirmed at 36 ?

Jim, here is the info you were looking for about AJ Wildman & Sons . . . Bumped this old thread for you.

Dan, I am assuming that these were sold in a single complete set and that this grouping on Mastro's was complete.  (Same number of sheets/cards seen in Dick Faletti's set, too.)

Wanted to link the photo of a recent pickup to this older thread.

Here's another item from the fairly little-known A.J. Wildman & Son.
Dimensions are about same as the other set, approx 5" x 7".

Haven't opened the cello but it is quite thin, indicating paperstock, not cardboard.

ACC reference #, anyone?
