Impatient Dan - tobacco leather webpages

I reluctantly post this startup webpage for almost ALL tobacco leather sets.

I've asked Bob Forbes to edit it and check for mistakes, but I am jumping
the gun and posting it in the hopes of adding missing leather images. His
task could take days.

I also have to be up front with those that do send images. I have personal
things going on, and don't know when I can add your leather images to
these leather webpages.

By the way, the total hours it took to put this together is awesome, so
if you see any mistakes, just bear with me and send email to correct it.
I will do my best to make error corrections top priority.

one set, L55 is the only leather set NOT included...here is Bob Forbe's email

BOB FORBE'S EMAIL ABOUT L55s

I have very little info on this series.

The ACC listed these as L55 College Fraternity Seals. Didn't indicate that
these were rectangular or pennant shaped. The World Index listed these as
50 x 65 mm (2 x 2 1/2) and stated that they were found embossed or printed.
It listed 15 subjects. I assume from the World Index measurements that
these are rectangular.

Maybe you can find someone with an example?

L55 COLLEGE FRATERNITY SEALS

1 Alpha Chi Omega
2 Alpha Delta Phi
3 Alpha Omicron Pi
4 Alpha Phi
5 Alpha Tau Omega
6 Chi Omega
7 Delta Chi
8 Delta Tau Delta
9 Delta Upsilon
10 Kappa Kappa Gamma
11 Kappa Psi
12 Phi Gamma Delta
13 Pi Kappa Phi
14 Skull and Keys
15 Theta Delta Chi

The leather webpages have come about/together because of the daily efforts of
Bob Forbes. Most leather images you see were supplied by him.
The checklists came from Bob, also.
The editing (ongoing) is totally Bob's efforts.
=============================================================
I hope he posts his email address in response to this post so questions
about the different leather ACC #s can be properly addressed.

Finally, thank you, Bob, for making this project come to life.
Thank you for sharing the many, many leather images and information/checklists.

My compliments to Dan who has taken the ball & run with it on this project. He certainly deserves the credit - without him all my information would still be sitting on my computer rather than being shared with everyone else.

Hope you all can check your leathers if you have any to see if you can fill some of the holes. There's still a lot that we don't know about this category and every bit of information or picture is a great help.

Anyone interested in discussing any specifics is always welcome to email me at forbesrs@aol.com or by phone 253-912-5446.

Bob

Hello to everyone who had a part in this,
I cannot keep from drooling over the great leathers displayed. My personal favorite is the Bill Cody. I certainly wish whoever has it would like to sell it to me. Until that happens, however, I appreciate the opportunity to see these fantastic Leathers. Thank you all very much.
