ONE POST FOR EACH COLLECTOR - LAST CARD (s)

Here's my thought....we all get down to the last card for a set,
and wish we could ask the world if it were available somewhere.
============================================================
Well, this post is for all to list the last card you need to
finish a set..
..with a catch...no flooding the posting area.

============================================================
It sort of like the BUY-SELL-TRADE wanted section, but more
meaningful, as it's meant ONLY FOR ONE CARD.
============================================================
And if you have 5 sets, each needing one card,
keep listing them in ONE post.
============================================================
It will only work if each collector only posts ONE TIME,
updating their original post over and over.
============================================================
If Tom feels this would work best over at the BUY-SELL-TRADE
area....I'll move it.
============================================================
I wish there were a way for this explanation post to
STAY AT THE TOP of this thread.
===========================================================

each collector only posts ONE TIME, over and over in their original post

let's keep it here. Plus with 4-5 different areas in BST threads, we'd have a lot of them. Good idea............
I'll post mine here a little later........

Good idea, Dan.

Here's my list of "one to go"s

It would be great if we could help each other out.

A HUGE thank you to Marty for knocking two of these
off the list.

Dan, Tom, can we start another thread in the same vein for sets that people are missing 2 or 3 cards?

The only true hole in my collection:

Schutter & Johnson "I'm Going to Be, a DRUM MAJOR"

The Drum Major card for some reason has been as elusive to me as the Strongman (which I'm not counting as a "one card" but yes, I need that too)

Can use a Bowman Magic 6 panel #73-78 card. I've been looking for one in trade with board members or for sale on ebay or The Wrapper for five or so years. I do have a few to trade if someone else collects the set.
Also, have four sets with two cards needed but will not post needs until we establish another thread.
Thanks!

I'll edit this post eventually to list my 1-card missing sets, but I couldn't resist the need to compliment Marty on being so close to 8 N-card tobacco sets. Especially since it doesn't allude to how many are complete. Wow!

Tony, do you really have the T206 Plank and Magie? I guess the Doy;le doesn't count.

Marty---sorry it took me so long to get back to you---I have been out of town & did not check the forum. Hope you have a card I can use but new complicating factor is that I cannot log on to AOL for some strange reason, so will be awhile before I can email you---I'll keep trying -- thanks!

American Historical Characters - Columbus #1

No score for this post
May 21 2008, 6:09 PM

Just updated my short list, above.  Hearty thanks to Dan C and Bill C!!!

An American Historical Characters card #1/Columbus has been located, thanks to these two fine gentlemen, and is winging its way to Bangkok to join its cardboard brethren, finishing off my set of one of the least followed or appreciated issues of the 1930s (but to its devotees, like Richard or me, one of the most beloved).  A wonderful reunion anticipated in Bangkok, in about 2 weeks!
