My favorite example in this case is "His Favorite Brand." In the Hassan case, the cowboy is holding up a pack of Hassans.
After talking about tobacco use in general and the trick of rolling a cigarette with one hand, the back of the card notes, "... Since the 'Hassan' brand has been put on the market, the cowboys, like smokers everywhere, have recognized the find quality of this low priced brand. They no longer have the trouble of making their own cigarettes, when such good ones can be bought cheaply."
In contrast, the Pullman Onist card has a blanked out name and no descriptive text. Also, they have no "His favorite Brand" title on the card.
Ganong "Rodeo" Bars, took it one step farther. Keeping it "His Favorite Brand," and with no descriptive back text, but making the object a package of Ganongs.
The Cowboy series takes the cake however. They call it "His Favorite Brand," they blank out the box,
