A friend of mine found this at an antique shop.
I had never seen one before and he let me take a picture of it to share.
Anyone else seen one of these before?
I always wondered how they came.

Notice the typical tear found on most of the cards at the bottom center:

For some reason, I always bought these "cards" at antique and bb shows.

What a great feeling to see the slit came from the factory.

Another one of those "you made my day" remarks, Todd.

Thanks - a billion times thanks

Interesting that the packs containing a baseball card show the card front - so why the decision to show the backs of the indians? CAN SOMEONE POST THE DATES FOR THE INDIANS? Baseball card dates are already well known. I no longer have any of the cards. I've seen a couple of each pack with the card but that's it. Way cool and tough to find. Had no idea about the tear. I've always bought the cards as a set and assumed they were from the promotions/mail-ins and not from packs - so the tear thing wasn't an issue I was even aware of. I'd be interested if the factory set (if that's what the full groups I had were) had the tear as well in one or more cards. It appears it has something to do with the cards actual insertion and not production. As it's way out of my era - I never looked into it more. I'm still looking for a sealed pack of each that has a card and that I can afford. I have a sealed paper pack but it's earlier and without precious cargo. I imagine if and when I'm lucky enough to see another - I'll Rob Peter to pay Paul......

Is there a cancellation date on the tax stamp and what is the date of the stamp itself?
