I was just thinking about this today. I look forward to seeing again what I got outbid on over the years and everything else he was able to acquire.

Unfortunately it couldn't be under better circumstances.

I got beat out by ZA99 many, many times. Saw him at the national last year but in all the fracas, I didn't get to meet him. Sorry for that near miss. Hopefully the auctions will be on ebay live or some form on ebay. It'd be fitting. Please feel free to preview or post anything here in regards to the collection. We'd all love to see some of the items early.

Hello Gentlemen

At this point we will be only selling the sports portion of John's collection. I have been informed by John's son that the family is going through the non-sport collection and have not made up their mind yet as to what venue they will be using to sell the collection if at all. Sorry for the presumptive note on our part. Just a lack of communication with the family on our part. The first part of the sports collection will be on Sept.6th. Perhaps, we will do the non-sport later on.

Will keep you posted.

I didn't even know John collected sports. He had to be one of the most diligent searchers for non-sports in the history of eBay.
