This exact card(same cert #) sold for over 2K 90 days ago, same seller if offering it again. If you guys lost out, here's another chance. Will be curious to see the final price.
Hmmm, maybe I'll buy this one too so I can corner the market like Larry Fritsch did with the T206 Doyle card. Seriously, I think I've got about a hundred Batman cards stuck somewhere that I probably haven't touched since I bought them back in 1966. Looks like maybe I'll be able to retire after all.

Not sure if anyone is really worried or not, but I've bought lots of stuff from Just Collect. I don't believe they would do anything dishonest and their customer service is excellent. I also don't think they use shills if that matters to anyone. If you are considering bidding on this card, why not just call them and voice your concerns?
Best,
Alan

no problem with Justcollect. I think most were commenting on the card & grade itself.......they are TOP NOTCH. Most items are consignment anyway. I, too, have won stuff from them before (actually, last week) and they are a class act.

I don't have a problem with JC either. Class outfit with a steady stream of quality cards in every category. It's the same card though... so the color can't be better on this one than the last one.
Maybe it's just being re-consigned.

Could be the first high-bidder "decided" not to buy it. As we probably all know, it's one thing to bid $2000 for a card and quite another to actually write the check!

Bob: I was 7 (turned 8) in 1966. I think the Batman cards might have been my first nonsports (followed by the Monkees and Maya, I believe). I actually had started buying some baseball cards the year before with the 1965 Topps set. One interesting memory I have is walking home from the High's convenience store in Vienna, Virginia with my friend Steven in 1966, each of us with a pack of Topps cards, when he spied a box underneath the loading dock out back. It turned out to be a vending box pretty much full of '66 Topps baseball cards. I never have figured out what they were doing there. Nice find for him...unfortunately, he wouldn't give any of the cards up to his wing man.
