I won this card on ebay tonight, but really could not find any info on it before it ended. Does anyone have a clue about this card..Thanks and hopefully, no one here was the underbidder.

I knew exactly what card was going to come up when I hit the link. I was wondering the same thing.

I'd say it's a trade card...........

based on the size.....maybe trimmed down a bit or just undersized. I'd have to see the thickness of it but it appears to be a normal trade card. Nice piece though.

Yeah I think maybe a trade card too. But it would not be dated 1860's. Neat card Dave.

Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be from the 1860's. My guess it was from the 1880's, but didn't think of it being a trade card. I couldn't find one piece of information on Cardinal Tobacco. I don't know if it even existed.

Definitely a trade card - the Lincoln image is part of a series of Bufford lithographs from the 1880s, just this time the advertiser happened to be a tobacco manufacturer (which is really cool and I'd say rare). I've often wondered if Burdick in his mind included the Bufford series with the H603 classification (which is how the Larkin presidents are classified), but there's no way to know for sure ...
