Les, you know that The Wrapper has helped me through some tough times.
This posting is a genuine Thank You one more time.

I thank your daughter for introducing you to computers/pcs, also.
Her article in this Wrapper shows she's a real "keeper".

Just to bring these covers together was an ordeal.

I can't imagine the effort it's taken to meet
all Les Davis' Wrapper deadlines over 30 years.

Some day when I grow up I'm going to work as hard as Dan Calandriello. Thanks so much for the 30-year mention!

I thought it was a nice touch having a few personal remembrances written in by Les's daughter.
If I may inject a postscript to Civil War News. At the end of that article I mentioned that it was my intention to create card #89, The Card That Wasn't: "Double Amputee." I often speculate about an imaginary card that was never included in a given set. In the case of Civil War News, the set is so violent with war images, that I figured that the doctoring procedures of that era was a theme that the author's had overlooked.
As I conceptualized how I would construct the card from pieces of CWN, which would not be hard, I then began to look up real pictures of wounded soldiers from that war. I soon said to myself, 'no way am I gonna do this.' So, I apologize to The Wrapper and its readers if I mislead, but my conscience would not allow me to proceed with the picture.

I am a first year subscriber and could not be happier with The Wrapper! My only complaint is not signing up many years ago. The feeling I get when it arrives is the same as back in day the arrival of the small style 1980s SCD. If you do not subscribe, you are missing out on a great resource and opportunity to buy, sell and trade. Please keep up the amazing work Les and contributors. Thank you!

Les,

After reading this post, I realized how much I missed receiving and going through the Wrapper. I just paid via Paypal and was wondering if I can get the October issue to begin my subscription.

Thanks and keep up the good work,

Mike Zachary
