Just want to say thanks to everyone who posts these images of their latest acquisitions. I love seeing this stuff. Todd, you are truly amazing. I doubt if I'd ever see the vast majority of cards you post otherwise.

I don't know where you guys score all these great cards, but I thank you for posting the images. Very cool stuff.

Todd - What are those three cards at the top of your post with the children and animals. Really nice.

Those are called "Dotty, Bob, And Trix Cards: Trip Around The World" and are classified as D27 in the ACC. They came in bread from various companies in the 1920's.

Pick Up's

October 14 2008, 8:50 AM

Congratulations to all on their pickups ..

Not much for me so far , this should change soon now the UK Government has made me a shareholder in all our broken banks . I can't wait for the dividends .

I picked up this Bubbletastic item off one of the Net54 members , many thanks .

I also picked up this ' celebrity ' Barbers set for less than $50 , i was pleased with that . A nice selection of UK and US stars from the 1950's .
Rather boring to some but i'm a sucker for movie stars .

Pick ups

October 22 2008, 6:00 AM

Hello to All ,

I always like looking through the PU threads , 99.99% of the cards scanned are all new to me and it always throws up many surprises .

I believe the old Generals were issued by Wills in the UK , under what title i'm unsure .

Maybe some of the more knowlegable UK collectors(Mr.Epps) will have some idea . They might have some connection to South Africa ...but what English General worth his salt didn't in the early 1900's .
