First, let me thank Richard for his help in tabulating the previous
"favorite" card sets.

Second, I hope he can keep totals for this phase of our "favorites"

==================== THE VOTING =========================
VOTING OCTOBER 2008 - FOR YOUR FAVORITE 15 SETS THAT WERE ISSUED IN THE 1800s in the USA.
....this voting is not limited to tobacco.
....yes, you can vote for less than 15 sets...no problem.
....yes, you can and should offer advise to assist in this effort.
======================================================================

==================== THE WEBPAGES =========================
We already have a webpage for the "Favorites of the late40s/early 50s

There will be a special webpage released next Sunday to mirror the
voting totals of the "Favorites of the 1930s/40s" (Sept 2008 results)

The goal is to release a special webpage in November to mirror the
voting totals of this month ----- "Favorites of the 1800s"

There will be an area set up at The Gallery to show the votings
that take place for all "Favorites" voting that takes place.

==================== FUTURE FAVORITES =========================
The month of November, with Tom's permission, the voting will be
for your favorite "early 1900s USA sets, with a webpage created in December.

The month of December,with Tom's permission, the voting will be
for your favorite "1960s USA set"

Please DO NOT vote early for these two groups, as Richard will only
tabulate the voting of the thread/posting that is set up for that group.

Just rec'd email saying I gave credit to Roger when Richard
was the deserving "tabulator".

I thank Roger so often for his image editing, it was an
easy mistake to make.

But as a wise man once said
.."Take responsibilities for you mistakes and don't make excuses."
.....ok, I will.

Thank you Roger for all your super image editing.
Thank you Richard for all your help tabulating issues.

keeping it as simple as possible, I'd say

Sets you like and would love to have in your collection.
Value/rarity shouldn't be a part of the selection/

a "Favorite 1800 webpage" just won't work for so few voters.

Remember, you don't have to collect the 1800s in order to vote.

All you have to do is appreciate a few 1800 sets over all the rest AND VOTE.

Voting will remain open till we have 15 voters. I will bounce this
"to the top" every so often to get more response.

Missed the boat again

No score for this post
November 3 2008, 1:10 AM

Well, I dithered over choices and missed the boat again. However, I did note an interesting phenomenon -- all of the sets getting votes were N-Cards. An oversight or are we missing fans of some of the other issues?
