I just started to go through all the BST listings for first time and see many descriptions changed to be 'Delete', 'Remove', 'All sold', or otherwise indicate no longer available. Is there way for Author to delete these? or can only the moderator remove them? If so, then we can set up SOP to change description to 'xxxx' so that moderator would know to delete them.
Is there value in keeping old BST listings? If so, then could maybe have an 'old BST' file and move to there from BST.

Actually Mike, I like it better if the original posters don't edit their listings at all, except to say "Sold." I find even the old listings a valuable source of info and pictures. I like seeing what people had, what was for sale, and how long it took to sell.
I agree that long strings of blank postings or ones that say only "Delete" does no one any good.

I sometimes look for education or in my dim memory I come across a card that someone was looking for a months ago and then go back to find the message.

I suppose this only affects us 'newbies' who'll read every post the first time on the site. After that, only need to look over new stuff posted.
Probably good for a moderator to take an hour or so to delete older posts without merit every now and then; those without info or links to obsolete ebay items. Kind of like finding time for cleaning out odds 'n ends drawers.
As older posts are of interest, I'll try to remember to always edit titles to refect status and keep around if possible.

too from time to time. I will always (attempt to do it always) delete threads where someone puts DELETE on there or eliminates all the data. I, too, like the thought of keeping sales data in the threads--at least as much as people tend to post out there. No more than the BST threads are used unfortunately, it's not a huge time constraint to police them some. I wish we could get more people using them. They've proven to work well for me over the last couple years with this and I know a lot of other people as well.
