Two weeks ago, I posted on the board letting everyone know that SGC's 2008 non-sports special would be coming to an end on 12/31. The post generated a good amount of discussion and the overwhelming sentiment was that collectors preferred that the special continue into 2009.

I'm pleased to announce that we've decided to extend the special for the first six months of the new year. Many of the elements remain the same, but we did make a few minor changes which I'll outline below.

* All non-sports cards from 1900-present, regardless of value, may be submitted at $5 per card with a minimum order of 10 cards.

* All 19th century non-sports cards, regardless of value, may be submitted at $7 per card with a minimum order of 5 cards.

* Turnaround time on all non-sports special orders will be 30 business days.

The following exclusions apply:

* Cards requiring custom inserts are not eligible for this special. They must be submitted at the $10 level or higher. If you have any questions regarding what may require a custom insert, feel free to call or e-mail our office.

* Non-tobacco trade cards are not eligible for this special. They must be submitted at the 19th century tier rate.

* Oversized cards are not eligible for this special. They must be submitted at the appropriate tier based on value.

* All orders must be postmarked prior to June 30, 2009.

We were very pleased with the response to our 2008 special. As was mentioned in the other thread, there was a great increase in the number of SGC non-sports cards on the market as well as the number of non-sports sets being registered on our registry at www.sgccardregistry.com.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or send me an e-mail.

We look forward to the continued support of the non-sports community in 2009!

Have a great new year!

This seems very reasonable indeed, thanks for extending the sale! I'll have to dig around and pull together some things to send along.

Thanks for listening!

Laura
