in such super condition depite their artistic weaknesses as the coloration is quite vibrant. The somewhat generic looks without much regard for the likeness of the subject are distracting. Earlier button sets were decidedly more exacting in that regard which I think relates to early production values relying on the integrity of the issue. It must be noted as well that between the Whitehead and Hoag company and Bastian Brothers (suggested that they colluded with W&H) - produced nearly all the pinback sets in the market - and were "in the business" of manufacturing same - thereby producing a better product for their customers.
