Dan always likes to see interesting Indian related "stuff". Let's give him some props for all his hard work and show him sumptin special. Not cards - but 2 great items perhaps accepted here in the overall NS category. Buffalo Bill stevengraph (unrecorded!) with som-o-dem guys what he worked wit in his show. Jesus he was a handsome man (lifted from E.E.Cummings poem). Second a super image from a portfolio produced by the famous photographer D.F.Barry of Sitting Bull. It's an early image that he re-worked many times. Whatcha got for da man?????

I do love all these indian pictures. There is one special one,
however. Laura posted an indian lady sitting outside a home. It
reminded me of my visits to the home in N.Carolina of my
grandparents...no heat..no running water...no electricity...
and that was the early 50s...so thank you, Laura.
After not getting any set/near set images for three weeks,
this thread has picked me up a little. Those of you that posted,
please know that your time was not wasted.

When I was 18, I spent the summer after my senior HS year on the Wind River Reservation in Ethete, WY with my church youth group. We did volunteer work for the mission there, and were highly privledged to be invited to attend the Sun Dance held by the Arapaho tribe that summer. I am not sure, but seem to recall that we were the first whites to attend the dance, ever. That summer we baled thousands of bales of hay, among other work. I loved the area, and always wished I could go back and live there, but it was not to be...
Here's a pic of the hay we baled that summer, with a couple of the local kids in front of it:

Apologies for the age of the cards (1995) , i know a lot of you only like your cards pre - war (pick your own conflict) etc but an Indian is an Indian .
I think these cards have great colour , super subject matter and nice art work .

It's a 20 card set , so not bad value .
