Does anybody have any young traders out there? My daughter would love to have somebody to trade cards with. Alan started her off with a bunch of T29 Animals, so she's trying to complete those in rough shape. She also has various horse/animal cards, to include new ones (Bella Sera). So if you have a little girl (mine is 9 yrs old) that would like to have a trading "pen pal," let me know and maybe we can spark the interest in the next generation!

Great idea. I have 2 girls, 8 & 9, I'm trying to get interested in something. But they call them my "stinkin cards". So I don't think it will work for mine yet.
BTW, my kids love the poptropica.com site. Give it a try.

is still too young, but if a couple of kids out there want a potpourri of "just for fun" cards, just email me and I'll put something together. Let's get them to enjoy it first before they start slabbing and going after the tough numbers(ha). LesWrap@comcast.net(The Wrapper)

What a super idea . I'm trying to get my 8 year old nephew interested in ' cards ' , he can't quite grasp it yet but he thought that some Star Wars were ' cool ' .
I've no idea what he'd think of vintage cards .

Instead of a bunch of seperate emails flying around, do you think it's worth trying to set up the B/S/T on a trial basis and see what happens? I think it would be cool for them to add some scans of what they have available and get the fire stoked! In this day of XBox and Gameboy, it might be the only chance we have...
I doubt I can help, but if I can, let me know!!

Let's see if we can get this started on the B/S/T...who knows, maybe we'll all have fun "recollecting" some sets. I know my 13 yr old son, Nicholas, likes HOW and other war cards. I think the Young Traders B/S/T is worth a shot...

Erika and I just scanned in some of her dupes to show you the condition of cards she has. As you can see, they aren't meant for slabs - but she loves them! If any of your kids are interested, let her know at my email and we'll get something going!
BTW, I don't think we should limit the kids to vintage, as we most all started on "cards of the day" before discovering the old stuff. I think the best thing we can do is get them interested in the first place...

She did get it and was very excited! She'll post on the Young Trader B/S/T tonight or tomorrow, but at the moment she's trying to learn Long Division for a test and my wife and I are ready to stick a fork in our eye with all the drama that goes with it! Once she's past that, she wants to scan some more cards and get a bit more organized. Check the B/S/T section in a day or two- sorry for the delay!
I'll ask about iCarly- I know she likes the show, so I'm sure she'll like them!
Cheers,
Geno
