that tobacco nonsports is very much the strongest of this great hobby, the 30's gum are holding their own, but when you get to the 50's and 60's topps and bowmans prices are a little weak, (exceptions like always), if legendary and rea are a barometer then you have to admit where the strength is......mark made a good point also, even the common sets from england thet used to sell for 25-75 bucks a pop are getting graded( wich is ridiculous) and fetching over 100-200 each, i bought about 2 dozen of these from roxanne toser in her discount box about 5 years ago, glad i did. i bid on 18 tobacco lots in both and lost all....to bacco guys/gals please comment..

were so many sets in the Legendary & REA auctions and so many of them were 19th and 20th century tobacco. The 1930's stuff, while there, wasn't quite as plentiful. I won an 'R' set from recent Heritage Auction, an 'E' set from Legendary and 1/2 of an 'N' set from REA. Bid on many more from all three and was shut out otherwise. I think it's much more difficult to complete nonsports E & N & some T sets in decent VGEX to EXMT condition so when they come around, they seem to be getting a nice premium due to completion I think. I know I've got no less than 20-30 sets going that I need between 1-5 cards from in the 'N' timeframe not even counting stuff that needs to be upgraded. I search frequently but don't find much to fill the lists. So.....when a complete set comes up for sale, it kind of makes you have an itchy trigger finger...............
