Looks like the store RETURNED 48 boxes of .05¢ packs it couldn't sell!

Guess the fact there was only 5 cards for a nickle instead of 6 led to customer revolt!

I'd like to know the story with that Brockmeyer guy. I've got hundreds of these kinds of invoices dating back to the 30's and his name is on most of them. I guess he was a regional or national distributor. Now, if we could check out his old warehouse.....

Dave---

Doesn't the 24/120 mean 24 packs/120 cards per box, which would be 5 cards per pack?

Plus, @ .72¢ for a 24 count box--That's .03¢ a pack wholesale. Don't believe stores would sell a .03¢ pack for a penny!

It most likely means 24 boxes per case, with 120 1-cent packs in each box. They're returning 2 cases worth, or 48 boxes. A case would cost $17.28/each - for 2,880 cards! Great receipt.

You warehouse finders are forgetting the most obvious thing from this receipt...the warehouse is going to be empty because he RETURNED everything!
