Apparently I'll be in Cleveland with my friend Glenn Mechanick behind a table. Stop by and say hello please if you go. I'll be buying anything "N" related and looking for T206 commons in bulk..........

I will look forward to seeing you and saying hi. I wish we could organize a nonsport section for the National. I can easily put together a large space for nonsport dealers and create a "pavilion" effect. Being a huge fan of nonsport and also the promoter of the National, it would be great to start a special communtiy for all of the nonsport hobby. A possibility exists that we could do an area that would put nonsport dealers in at a group rate. Lots to think about. Who wants to run with this? I can make it happen from a promoters standpoint. How about a meeting at the National to discuss some ideas?
Thanks,
Mike Berkus

I'll definately stop by Glenn's table to say hello. Last year in Chicago, I stopped by, but they said you had already left.
Mike,
I'm still debating if I'm coordinating any meet-up. In Chicago, I picked a restaurant that was a mile or two from the convention center. No one showed up, because most people fly in and stay at a hotel within walking distance to the show. I should have picked a place within walking distance. Oh well - live and learn. The Cleveland expo center is in the middle of nowhere, so that idea won't work.

I can supply a meeting room and maybe some displays from Topps to show everyone if we got enough non sport guys that wanted to particpate. We could do a pizza and pepsi deal in our VIP lounge and just gab about the good old days. This was a standard for the old nationals.

It's an absolutely fantastic idea, but (speaking for myself) I'm only at the show for a limited amount of time and need to see all the dealers' tables while there. As much as I would absolutely enjoy meeting other collectors, dealers, etc,..., I just wouldn't have the time to take me away from the convention center main hall for those few hours out of the show's day. I like to do the social stuff after show hours, but that's just me. Others may attend, though.
