So did anyone on the board win some of the incredible unopened non-sport items from the 1930's in the last REA auction? If so, share some of your photos. Some of those items were really amazing. I wondered if any of those unopened packs were going to be opened (especially the 92 packs of Sky Birds). If you won one of the items and opened anything, let us see! I have to live vicariously through the others on this site.

Hi David - A number of those REA lots indeed were won by board members but, respecting their privacy, it will be up to them to identify themselves or not.
But in the meantime, Uncle Dan C. has already captured a lot of the images in the gallery, so you may want to wander off over there, in the meantime.
Welcome to the Forum, by the way. Show us your stuff when you get a chance, too, so that others of us can live vicariously through YOUR collection, too!

Ralph, I guess I can understand if someone doesn't want everyone to know what they have purchased. However, we have those pick-up threads every month. Perhaps if someone has some good photos to share from the REA "find", they can send them to Dan to be put on his website. That way they can remain out of the spotlight. Or they could send them to the board moderator and they could be posted directly to the board. I just thought everyone would enjoy more photos of these extremely rare items. Especially if any of the rare packs are opened. As far as me posting some photos of my items, I doubt anyone would be that interested in my Batman or Dinosaur Attacks cards!

See, now that's what I was talking about! Thanks Daniel. Anyone else score some packs? And did you open any? Be great to see the untouched contents from the 1930's.

I couldn't compete with the big boys but I did win this box. I was especially interested because it seems to prove where these Switzer cards came from. I'm a sucker for hobby history so thought it would be a nice piece to own.
Since someone said I should post something I have so others could live vicariously through me, here is a recent purchase from the B/S/T board. It got the lowered grading for back damage.

Not to highjack my own thread, but what do you think the Buffalo Bill would have graded without the back damage? Along with this question, I'd still like to see some of those unopened packs from the REA auction if one of the purchasers opened any of them.

I tried to add another image of a recent acquisition (War Bulletin set), but the image was over 1MB. I'm assuming that's the board imposed limit. Can I email it to a board moderator and they can post it? I would shrink it, but not sure how.

Dan, I sent the picture to Tom as you suggested. Maybe he didn't have any better luck with it than you or I did, since it never got posted. If he can get it working, he can just post it under August pickups.
