Did every one get the e-mail fom BROCKELMAN AND LUCKEY auction house? How do they rate with you guys? If you didn't get the e-mail I can forward it. If I was going to consign that e-mail would have convinced me. There again I still beleive in Father Christmas. (he looks alot like our Dan C )

I used to buy from Scott Brockelman back in the 90's on eBay, he was a first class guy. I have never dealt with Leon, but as an observer of his work as moderator of the vintage baseball board, he also seems like a straight shooter with class and integrity.
P.S. I did get the email also. I think their auction house has a lot of respect on the baseball side, I do not know what they've done with nonsports (although Scott used to sell them on eBay so he must know something)

B&L have had a couple of auctions now and I've won some lots.
Everything went smooth from the auction descriptions, quickness in shipping & quality packing.
Looking forward to their next auction as I'm sure I'll find some vintage cards I can use.

Leon and I have three auctions under our belt and our fourth coming up at the end of September thru Oct 17th. At this point we have a bit of non-sports included in the upcoming auction and would welcome more consignments if anyone would like to give us an opportunity to sell their cards. We charge 0% on consignments and only 12.5% to buyers.
As others have stated we strive to run a completely open and honest auction. We pay very quickly and have no cash flow problems or credit lines to impair our operation or jeopardize our consignors.
Sorry for the rehash, buy many on the Non-sports side may not be familiar with us.
Anyone with questions may reach me at scott@b-lauctions.com or may see our past auctions and/or register at www.b-lauctions.com
Scott

At this point all we have is a small group of five N127 Sea Captains all SGC graded, and another group of six N184 Kimball's(kinda non-sports I guess, they aren't baseball players anyway) also all SGC graded, a Newsboy salesman sample cabinet(numerous celebrities on it), and lastly a very nice N570 Geronimo.
As stated previously we are open to offering more non-sports lots, we just need people to consign dupes or unwanted sets/singles.

I consigned some collectors grade T baseball cards with B & L at the National. It was a pleasure chatting with both Leon and Scott. This is my first time consigning with B & L but likely not the last. I am impressed with how they treat both consignors, buyers and wish them the best of luck! For now I have not consigned any non sports items but this is mainly due to being able to dispose of non sports easily on my own. However, as a buyer, I would very much like to see more non sports.

by having 'boutique' auctions like Scott & Leon's out there is the composition of lots. They don't print expensive catalogs so they are more willing to work with you on how to lot your items. Nothing against the Legendary's and REA's and Goodwins and Memory Lanes but often the nonsports gets lotted into huge lots unless it's high graded or complete, difficult sets. So.....if you just want to consign some smaller stuff, they would likely be willing to work with you. Granted, they're not like ebay either where they'll be listing individual $10 single nonsports cards but at least you don't feel like you have to create a 500 card 19th century lot to keep the lot average at $3000 for the big boys.

I have both, consigned to, and purchased from B&L in past auctions. (Inertia has prevented me from getting anything together this time, but I'm not at the deadline, yet.)
Every aspect of the process, on both sides went smoothly. As Tom said, They will, for the most part let you "lot" your items as you see fit. Their charges are very reasonable, and their shipping was fast.

Scott & Leon have, without question, the most honesty and integrity in the entire hobby. Period. Plus, they're nice enough to talk with a poor slob like me.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The Net54baseball.com side of the house has always been a strong supporter of our friends on the non-sports side. Scott and I are avid collectors too so we think we have a good understanding of what folks want. In addition to what Scott said about non sports lots I know we will have some R184 full strips and a complete set of Duke N88 Terrors of America. It is raw and grades out at a very nice avg. vg+. I think there will be a few more lots too...mostly non sports with a baseball type content...N48, N118, N135, N165 etc..... We will give a friendly post over here when it gets going...take care....

Just in case you NS guys did not get the email, the 2009 Brockelman & Luckey Fall Auction is now open for bidding. Not a lot of Non-Sports, but you never know, may be something that you have been looking for.
