Ralph - I have to respond to this one. I traded those IG cards to Tony. The cards he sent me triggered a song in my head and I CANN'T GET RID OF IT!!!!!!!!!!

Tony, what happened to your tenth scan? It's a mirror image. Something you did with your software? You know you can't show the back of the cards that way right?! LOL

Wow! I didn't realize that these cards came in a box like that. I always thought that they came along with the figure that was pictured on the card. I have a few of these cards left over from my childhood, and never really remembered where they came from; but was pretty sure I once had the matching figure. I added a few more of these cards a few years ago from some eBay auctions. Does anyone know how many there are and what year they were produced? When I get home I will have to check my newly acquired copy of the NSB. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

I normally don't pry into other collector's finds, BUT, without giving away any sensitive details, how did you acquire this stuff? If I was more active in the NS hobby like I was 15 years ago, after seeing your find, I'd move to Columbus! Anyway, truly the most awesome find that I've seen on the board. Congrats!

Anyone else want to chip in and get Todd followed at weekends? This is the only way to find where he finds these treasures. Where is Columbus is it a nice place to holiday? I might visit for a month or 2. Great find Todd I am truely jealous

Tony,
No need for a detective. Columbus is easy to find. It is a small town in the middle of France.
The Story:
As I understand it these were file copies. A few complete sets in there (hopefully not that many as believe me these were not cheap!). I don't own much MINTY stuff from the 1930's so just had to have them. The colors and graphics on the box wrapper are amazing!
Here are some details:

Dish David........nice piece. Was going to pull the trigger but didn't. I have tons of the cards from the (5) sets, so it would have been a nice companion piece.

you are for sure the main man when it comes to early "E" stuff - an intersting niche especially due to lack of doccumentation. "To go boldly.........." Perhaps a presentation of sorts or guide-like project in the future?

Tom, I collect many items as companion pieces for card sets too. Nice pickups!
Thanks Henry, same thing happened to me recently w/ a Duke mirror.
They Gypsy Queens arrived a couple days ago and indeed period over-sized advertising hangers / cards likely used for point of sale advertising. The really neat thing is texture is somewhat similar to the Marburg Yale Mixture textured cabinets. However, the GQs are not nearly as well defined.

lillian russell banner for duke - sorry for bad pic
point of sale kinney stand-up - part of a rare series
Dan - if you see this you might recognise the pose/costume as it's the same as was used on the Duke banner that both you and I owned. I gifted it to someone...........
