From the last week or two. Does anyone have information on the (blank backed) Kadee tobacco card?

The Jimmy Stewart card was advertised as being given away at the movie theatre when buying popcorn.

The animal images on the Junge bread cards are very colorful, have these images been used in other sets you've seen?

Happy to have added this one to the collection. It has a mk qualifier from the back where someone had written a name then tried erasing it. I've included a blown up scan of "Dan C." and couldn't believe my eyes happy.gif

Picked up these cards this week, don't know much about them other than what is said on the back of the cards;

"There are 45 dog picture cards in this series. Collect the full set by buying Post Alpha-Bits, Sugar Crisp, Grape-Nuts Flakes, Crispy Critters and Crispy Numbers."

Obviously a food (cereal) issue, hand cut, bilingual, about 2 1/8" x 3 1/4".

Claude:
ACC# FC44-3 Canadian cards from Post Cereals. If you have NSB, see page 276. Apparently, they were on four-card panels on the back of cereal boxes. I only have one example, the Newfoundland.

Anyone seen these silks before?

One of them has on it "copyright 1912 Irwin Nadal Tob. Co."

Richard, thanks for the info, my ACC stop at FC33 and I do not have the NSB yet, is there a checklist in the NSB?

Bob Forbes will probably chime in but Contentnea stuff is very difficult to find.

Erwin Nadal College silks

Greg,
According to the information that Bob Forbes provided to me a few years ago, those Erwin Nadal Tob. Co. silks are from the S29 college pennant series of 25 silks. They were issued with Contentnea cigarettes and Plon-Plon cigarettes. Unfortunately, I am no longer on speaking terms with Bob, so I don't know if the information is still current or not. Perhaps he can provide you with additional information. I have been a silk collector for some time and I have seen very few of the S29 silks so I would say that they are very scarce. Hope this helps.

Now I'm down to one card to finish my Tootsie Circus set - The Hippopatamus. Anyone got an extra one they would be willing to sell/trade for?
