It looks like the Allen & Ginter cards were pulled from a scrapbook, guessing they were once cabinet cards? The 4 cards on the right are from Ward's bread.

[linked image][linked image]

Neat looking "big Circus" bread card at the bottom, the back of the card can be seen in the picture above.

I have no idea why I bought this card. I don't collect the set. It just caught my eye - I couldn't resist. Maybe I'll just get the rest of the tank cards...

are neat. Don't know I've seen any of those with additional advertising on the front--or the back for that matter. Also like the margarine plane set or near set. Great cards.

Tom,
Those planes are actually from Lever Bros. soap and are printed on an aluminum type card stock. Easily scratched.

Todd, you are one of several collectors that I would really, really like to see all they have collected. I could probably spend months looking thru everything. The diversity and assortment is really outstanding, way to go....

If you decide to get rid of the TV Western wrapper please let me know. I'll see if I can hock something to afford it.

Todd - You really piled up some great stuff. If you think about selling the 1 cent Funny Valentines wrapper, that's the one set I still have that I collected as a kid. I've got the 5 cent wrapper, but not the 1 cent. Thanks -Jack

Jeff,
Thanks! I really do enjoy all aspects of "non-sport" collecting.

Also, email me as that wrapper is a double.

Jack,
Email me - as that one is also an extra.

Todd, I just sit here slack-jawed at each of your posts. I keep wondering how in the world do you find all this stuff in nice shape to purchase? Wow, you must have a heck of a collection!

I think Todd has about 15-20 photos and he just rotates them to wow us with all his finds.......this month he has those and they'll show up again in January.......just joking....he is a prolific finder. The American Pickers have NOTHING on Todd..........

Picked up these Loma Linda birds and they have raised a question. Did Loma Linda issue 2 series of bird cards, cause these are not in the booklet I have. Also, they state on the back "Additional Pictures or Albums No Longer Available".

Those are from the "Beautiful Bird of the West Series" the other cards you have are probably from the "Beautiful Bird Pictures" series.

Tom, I saw a card like the Gu-Ma Gum on ebay. I bid on it but didn't have any idea what it should go for, so I stopped bidding. I also didn't know anything about the set, just thought it looked interesting. Looks like you made a good haul.
