PSA returns with lousy packing....

Two of their small card holder boxes were put into a large Priority box with zilch on the bubble wrap. This enabled the boxes to slide freely for 3000 miles. Anyone else have cards shipped in this piss poor manner?

Hey Richard, yes..have had this before with them. I don't get the "Brown kraft wrap" over 1 box and not the other???
Last time I had 2 "brown wraps" and the other not wrapped..with limited protection as well. Mystery.

I think lincoln should have gotten the NM7 nod...just me.

That frank Buck is Awesome! I almost feel like I'm right in the middle of that squabble between man and beast. One of the most colorful and underated sets from the 30's and tuff to get high grade. Sweet!

as far as NM7 Flatbush Gum LION:

"The starlings are tough but the lions are made of stone.."

"...I'm thinking bout the lions..
what happened to the lions?
(dire straits)

Nice share. Thanks

Richard,

Got cards back yesterday from PSA and would have taken a picture but the packaging looked exactly like yours. 2 boxes inside with one wrapped in paper. No damage to anything though and heavy tape sealed the postal box. Doesn't look like any real damage could occur with the way they are packaging now?

Grades as expected; a bit on the conservative side and one surprise GD 2 MK. Must have missed something on that one.
Of the highlights the Grant grade seems low to me....

When did they start putting the gray film over the bottom line? Are you supposed to scratch them off like a lottery ticket? Not sure the advantage of doing that.

Dan - wow good eye! I didn't catch that...oh well I have several that need to be reholdered and have been procrastinating sending them back in. At least PSA is good about fixing errors and pays return shipping.

Eric - yes they are scratch and sniff. Based on the type of card in the holder you smell tobacco, bread, gum etc.... happy.gif

Dave,

Were they shipped in a USPS Priority box as well?

Steve - yes, exactly like Richards picture. One box wrapped in paper and the other is able to slide around inside. I guess the thinking is since the priority box is about as wide as a PSA box it's not able to tumble inside, just slide around.
