Apropos to that other thread, about reproductions, there HAVE been reproduction Star Trek cards in the past. And they don't say "repro" anywhere, seemingly intended to pass off as the real deal.
So, it would appear that this buyer has just put a huge amount of trust and confidence in the grader's judgment that this indeed is a 'real' card . . . Charlie, can you imagine how you'd feel if you were the bidder, and you later found out this was a reprinted card?
(That will never happen, I suppose, because who would want to find THAT out? And to do so, you'd have to crack the card out of the plastic case and ruin that lovely grade!!
