I am pleased to announce that my first auction is now open for bidding. It features 525 lots all offered with no reserve. Bidding will continue until May 19.

You can visit the auction through this link.

If you'd like to register for an account, you can do so here.

One of the featured lots is a complete T70 Historical Events Series set ranked #1 on the SGC Registry with an average grade of 50.40--just over VG-EX. This set is complete at 25 cards. There is one SGC 80, six SGC 60, twelve SGC 50, five SGC 40, and one SGC 20 (Signing of the Declaration of Independence).

In addition to that set, there is an ungraded set of T42 Birds Series 1&2 complete at 100 cards and averaging VG-EX.

There is also a 1948 Exhibit Champions proof sheet containing eight cards (Turner, Luckman, Harder, Hoppe, Man O' War, Henie, Kramer, and Scott). This paper-thin sheet was likely produced to check the artwork and layout prior to production.

Finally, a few singles from N127, Indian Gum, Mars Attacks, and a Presidential Trade Card of Grover Cleveland round out the mix.

I am working hard to increase the presence of non-sports in this auction going forward. Anyone interested in discussing a consignment for a future auction is welcome to call or e-mail any time.

Thank you all for your support, and thank you to Tom for working with me as a banner advertiser.

Brian, I just noticed that you have purchased a banner ad from Tom, to support this Forum.
Thanks for that and good luck with the auction.

Is a great guy. His first offing in the auction world has some great items in it. Just another avenue for all of us to quench our addictions. And Brian did, in fact, purchase a banner ad. There are some updates to advertisers that I'll update everyone on next week.........thanks and good luck to Brian!

Auction Closes Tonight

May 19 2011, 7:52 PM

Just a reminder that the auction ends tonight with initial bidding closing at 10 PM EST. The auction will stay open using the 15 minute rule until there have been no bids on any lot for a period of 15 minutes.

You can bid on any item in the auction after 10 PM EST provided you have at least one bid placed in the entire auction. You do not need a qualifying bid on an item to bid on it after 10 PM, but you do need to have placed one bid or more on any item.

Thanks to all the board members who have participated!

I promise more non-sports next month.

Brian
